Hey,  I'm so happy you're visiting the site because Grow, Encourage, Empower was started with you in mind.

Are you a mom looking for guidance in helping your daughter manage the tween & teen years, do any of the following sound familiar to you….

-I’m concerned because she’s not interacting with her peers..

-She appears to be anxious a lot or all the time..

-She’s isolating in her room away from family and friends and this is not like her..

-I think she is struggling with how she feels about herself and comparing herself to others…

-Our relationship isn’t great, we aren’t getting along…

Are you a Gen Z or Millennial struggling with life and managing some of the transitions including these.

-Career changes

-Family issues

If any of these scenarios sound familiar you are who I had in mind when I started my Private Practice. After working in the mental health field for over 14 years doing community work,  inpatient treatment, case management services and coordination of care, there was always a desire to make a greater impact on a individual basis. In 2015 Grow, Encourage, Empower was established and I began servicing clients in Raleigh and the surrounding areas. In 2017 the office moved to Downtown Cary where I have been able to service individuals throughout the RTP area to include Cary, Raleigh, Apex, Morrisville, Holly Springs and Fuquay- Varina. In the summer of 2018, Grow, Encourage, Empower was able to expand and we are so excited about the work and partnerships being created in Durham NC to continue the work in servicing tweens/teens and the Gen Z/ millennial population. Since 2015  I have been able to service countless families in working through crisis situations, parent/child relationship issues, child and adolescent behavioral/emotional concerns and young adults struggling with life transitions.  My goal has always been to provide an atmosphere where you will be able to sense a feeling of authenticity and genuineness that will give you a feeling of ease in taking the healthy steps needed toward making positive change. I invite you to check out my bio page in addition to the counseling services and series services section to learn a little more about me and my passion for helping others.

I began my counseling experience in my home state of New Jersey.  While in New Jersey I worked as a community health case worker where I collaborated with other social service agencies and the  juvenile justice system with the goal of keeping the youth in their home to avoid out of home placement.  I also worked as a residential therapist and supervisor for teenage girls and provided individual, family and group counseling.  In addition to these roles I was also able to work with the chronically mental ill adult population as a community case worker and therapist in assisting them with leading full productive lives.

In 2009 I relocated to North Carolina.  Since my transition I have been able to work as an in-home therapist providing services for families in underserviced communities. I've also worked as a play therapist in a community environment as well as a hospital therapist for the child/adolescent and adult population.  In 2015 I began my own Private Practice in Raleigh and in 2017 I moved my office to Downtown Cary.  I currently reside in Cary and love the town and all it has to offer which is why I wanted to move my practice.

If you are looking for a dynamic speaker to discuss areas related to the stress that the adolescent population is dealing with today in light of the Social Media era we are currently living in and teaching them healthy ways to cope or perhaps helping parents, school officials or community leaders with addressing it. Or maybe you are looking for someone to speak with the Gen Z or Millennial population at your University, workplace or community event on surviving the hurdles in their path by utilizing self care to stay sane and not becoming overwhelmed with the images seen on social media and TV that constantly make us feel that we aren’t doing enough. If you would like to discuss details on what your specific needs are in regards to these populations, please contact me for further information.
